Parking brake???
ok guys. Does anyone's parking actually work? My trike is a 2013 year model and has 10k miles on it now and the parking brake has never done much to keep it from rolling. Maybe i'm not adjusting it correctly or not interpreting the owner's manual right. BTW, what does "cover" the brake pedal mean? It's in the manual that way. Just always keep the trike in first gear when parked anyway. Kinda funny, just had the trike in to get the reverse motor replaced and when the service tech/writer pushed the bike out of the service area without the motor running and the trike in neautral , the parking brake was applied. He pushed the trike out with very little effort indicating that the parking brake was not doing anything at all to keep the bike from rolling. Anyone?

Adjusting the park brake is like splitting hairs...It has to ''JUST'' be tight enough to just hold the Trike... Too tight and it will cause premature brake pad wear. And as the pads wear the brake won't hold. Then you adjust them again and the cycle starts over again till you have no pads left,,,That said i never use the park brake.. After i figured that out.. In 2011......

The parking brake on my 2012 is, and always has been a POS. I adjust it every 1500 miles or so and it lasts 1000 miles or less. When we were in the Great Smokie Mountains National Park a couple of summers ago, we stopped at a scenic turn out. I couldn't leave the bike because it was rolling backward even though I was in 1st gear with the parking brake applied. I try to carry a piece of velcro now.

What parking brake?
I am riding a 2009 and from 2010 to 2012 I was always having problems with the parking brake not holding and having to replace the rear pads prematurely. Decided to completely remove lever and cable assembly in 2012. My rear pads now last 3 times longer than they used to. Velcro strap on front brake used on steep inclines.
