I got a billet silver about a month ago. I had a black 14 tri-glide I traded in. You're going to really like that color, so much easier to maintain.

Yeah, I had a choice, black or billet silver., pick silver for that very reason. I have a black 11 Mustang and it's a job trying to keep it half way clean.....
Some pin stripping, chrome and she'll look great.

I've noticed you went back and forth a few times. If I recall a SG,UC,and Trike. Just wondering what made you come back full circle to the trike? Sorry to be nosy,I'm just contemplating the same move,oh and congrats!

I know it's crazy, right? Two riding buds and myself just completed a 18 day west coast trip, beautiful sights, and I completed my lower 48 state riding. Most of the trip all three of us kept saying " wish the wife was with us to see what we're seeing" ..made me realize I want her with me on the bike, but due to her knees being in bad shape and my age, she won't ride two wheels ( getting on and off and me holding the ultra steady ) so to have all this going back to a TG was the solution..some would rather go without the wife, but we've been married for 46 years and I'd rather have her along.
Will I miss two wheels? Of course, who doesn't...but the trade offs are worth it to me, plus I'm 65 and not getting any younger ( mental doesn't count!) so it's the right move for us. Will I have a two wheeler again? Maybe as a stable mate to the trike ( sporty or Dyna) but it's life and it is what it is....
I asked her the night before I picked up the TG if she was excited, she replied yes she was, she felt like I kicked her to the curb ( my words not hers) and excluded her from the mc trips, not my intentions and she would never say that before....so that made me feel good ( being excited) and here we go! Let the adventures begin!
And my new motto is " Slow down and relax"
Sorry for the ramble....

Understandable, and it sounds like you made the right decision. Hope both you and the wife enjoy the new bike.

Casper, you traded a beautiful bike for a beautiful trike, and for all the right reasons. Congrats! Having your wife with you again will make it all worthwhile.
My wife loves to ride as much I do so I couldn't imagine leaving her at home.

Besides,trikes are a lateral move,not a step down.
