I'm not saying it will happen, simply that it could. Here in TX, that which passes at one inspection station won't at another. Go figure.

My thoughts exactly .......... That's why I bought the tail light strobe and tour pack strobe modules from Custom Dynamics that can be set with various flash patterns. There is no such thing as too much visibility on a motorcycle.

No inspections where I live. I added amber bullet lens to the front running/turning, gives a good view from the side. The more light the better, and I am in the process of changing everything that is not LED to LED. The rear has LEDs on the tour rack and the rear of the fender rails.

Default No requirement for side reflectors

Pennsylvania does not have any requirement for side reflectors, that I could find.
I did see the total number of lights permitted to be on in Pennsylvania is no more than 4 at one time facing forward. so if you have headlamp and two passing lamps on, you could only have one driving light on. confusing huh

Anyway I can remove those ugly plastic out of place reflectors, and possibly go to black 3M tape that reflects at night. I think a flat black reflector tape design of some sort would be nice.

I had used a heat gun with great success. Do not keep the heat on one spot, otherwise the paint may blister. I then use kerosene to clean up the sticky remains.

I removed the fender reflectors on my 2016 yesterday. Used fishing line and goo gone, no problems. I found a company that makes reflective decals in various designs and I'm going to replace them with some of them.
