Why 3 wheels?

young, able bodied - she does it for her kids
my wife fell in love with motorcycles a year or so ago, took the motorcycle safety class, and we bought her a honda shadow 750, which she rode...a little. she never felt good or comfortable on it, and always felt like it was too dangerous for a young mother. she felt guilty being a poor rider in a world of text/drivers and possibly leaving her children without a mother...the guilt consumed her. then we thought about trikes. they are safer, she would still be in the wind, she would not have to develop that skill of balance, or have to pick it up if it fell, and lets face it, they are huge an harder to miss if you are a car. now I have a wife best friend riding buddy and im the luckiest man in the world. I love trikes!!!!

My wife and I started riding at 47 & 46 respectively. We rode on two wheels (each had their own bike).
My conversion from 2 to 3 wheels happened after I had an accident at 49 that resulted in two torn rotator cuffs and plates and screws being put in my ankle. The ankle and shoulders have never been quite right since. So I made the decision during recovery to move on to 3 wheels. I figured I was going to end up needing them in the long run and wanted to get the purchase out of the way sooner rather than later. I've never looked back and love my TriGlide.
My wife continued with her Fatboy until last year when she had two fusions done (one in neck, one in lower back). After that, she found her bike awkward and she was constantly afraid she would go over and hurt her spine. So I got her a TriGlide as well.
We both love our trikes; I think she misses her 2 wheeler more than I do. But she would never go back to 2 wheels at this point.
