I'd say mid-March or so. That's when the bluebonnets start, and February can be a rude bitch... it'll get up to the 80s or higher, then next thing you know, "HAHAHA suckers, winter ain't over yet, have a freeze!"

Well, you miiiight catch some bluebonnets still, but they're pretty much a springtime kinda flower. But any time short of mid to late summer is gonna be pretty, and if it's a wet spring even then is good. You'll definitely enjoy the riding, especially the Sisters if you can hit 'em during the week so you don't have to deal with much traffic!

Go before Memorial Day. Keep, in mind, TX schools let out earlier than the schools up north and out east. Saves on cooling costs.

The Hill Country has some great riding places.
The Three Sisters is a must if you like twisty roads.
Stop in at The Motorcycle Stop in Leakey and eat, drink and listen to the music.
