I've ask this in the Rushmore section but want to ask here too.
Me and my riding buds are planing a trip to Texas hill country next year
Asking about any info you Texas boys could give about best time, weather, blue bonnets, etc Calling it our BBQ tour Also may head to San Antonio
Thanks all
I'd say mid-March or so. That's when the bluebonnets start, and February can be a rude bitch... it'll get up to the 80s or higher, then next thing you know, "HAHAHA suckers, winter ain't over yet, have a freeze!"

Thanks we have to get there from Ky too. April isn't good here, We're think last two weeks of may
Well, you miiiight catch some bluebonnets still, but they're pretty much a springtime kinda flower. But any time short of mid to late summer is gonna be pretty, and if it's a wet spring even then is good. You'll definitely enjoy the riding, especially the Sisters if you can hit 'em during the week so you don't have to deal with much traffic!
We have about decided on May 20 as a leave date....but that's not in stone....only one rider is still working, poor guy lol, so,it's when he can secure leave....
The Hill Country has some great riding places.
The Three Sisters is a must if you like twisty roads.
Stop in at The Motorcycle Stop in Leakey and eat, drink and listen to the music.
