Question Modifying Switch ?

The SoftBrake web site states that the reduced effort clutch lever for the 16 models does not allow the "start in gear" switch to operate without modifying the switch. However, I can't find any information on how to modify it. I would really like to try their clutch lever, but hate like the devil to lose the start in gear function. Anybody in this group actually done this, or know where the correct information might be found? Thanks for any help.
