Had the Twin peaks bars on my 01 Bagger but not sure if they were 8 or 10".
For the trike I went with RSD 8" FL King Apes. They are similar, but I found them to suit me better, not quite as wide feeling. Did not have to change anything with these. Not sure if you could compare dimensions.

My cousin bought a new Tri-Glide during a trip that we made two years ago.
Following and watching him, I could tell that he was trying to adjust to the difference in the handling between the trike and his previous two-wheeler but I could also tell that he was NOT comfortable with the seating/handlebar position on the trike.
We stopped for a break and he was still sitting on the trike and had him close his eyes, and then put his hands where he would like them to be on the handlebars. I told him to keep his hands where they were and open his eyes.
I think he was even shocked by the distance where his hands were and the grips of his handlebars.
I suggested that he should consider bars that correctly fit him and I recommended Helibars. He had them installed early last years and he absolutely loves them. They're fully adjustable (including grip angle) and when I get my Tri-Glide (not too far away) it will have Helibars too.

Casper,
I am 6' and yes it is a reach at full turn. I can not pull back an further because I have and want to keep my Tank Lift from DK.
Hope that gives you an idea. I do however love the comfort it provides me to my shoulders. Much more relaxed, and no more neck / shoulder pain.
