Default Mud Flap Question

What is the best way to drill holes in rear fender without chipping paint to install mudflaps? Thanks for your help.

I have always put tape on a surface before I drill a hole on a painted surface. Someone else may have a better idea.. Our company makes mudflaps that you do not drill any holes . We use an industrial velcro and line 24 snaps to keep things in place, Our customers have given us some nice feedback from this system..

Interested in a no drill mounting for my wife's TriGlide, but curious how the snaps come in to play without drilling and screwing one half to the body. Could you elaborate more on this or share a picture of your mounting system?

Use tape and drill a small pilot hole through it first...Followed by the bit size you need. Then before you put the screw through the hole...ream the hole gently with a phillips head to dull the edge of the hole.
