Tony, you might look at this - http://www.hogleverage.com/ It's an adjustable clutch. I am a member of a Freewheeler FB page and some of the people on there have switched to this and seem to like it a lot. I'm planning on changing mine out in the near future as I am having some of the same issues as you are.
