12 Hour Saddle??
#13
Most of us on this part of the forum have old asses that have spent a ton of time on different seats. I don't much care for staying in the saddle over an hour or ninety minutes at a time on trips anymore.
My tall boy seat lets me stretch out some on the highway pegs, which takes some pressure off the old bum. The only other thing I do is make sure my billfold stays in the tour pack and I am wearing my compression undies. Soft seats, air seats, and all other aftermarket seats have just never helped me much.

Everyone's butt is different.
I used to have my seats customized. The last 6-7 years I've concentrated on getting the smoothest suspension, and then using an Airhawk & sheepskin. I also wear C9 Champion shorts.
I regularly ride 8 hour days, sometimes 10 & 12 hour days.
Zero issues/soreness

I have been riding for a while. Got a 2016 TG last summer. Had a Road Glide and Dyna before that. I like to take very long multi day rides. Just came back from a ride to Orlando and back from Kansas City. About 3,000 miles total. I rode a little more than 700 miles Saturday in 12 hours. I know many riders have done that and more. After spending a fair amount of money on seats and cushions for things like a Sundoowner Seat, Airhawk, sheepskin, highway pegs etc I have come to the conclusion that there is not a seat setup out there that won't make your a$$ sore after 3 or 4 hours in the saddle. Is this a fair statement? Or, does someone have a setup that doesn't make you sore after 3 or 4 hours? I still love the long rides and will keep taking them, just want to see if I am missing a saddle/seatup option option. Thanks.

I do several 13 hour days every year. The Sundowner works for me. The solo Saddleman seat does a good job also.
However, like many things what works for on does not work for another.
Some may just have no tolerance for long butt time.
Another thought is the small cushions that let air through them. Having a cooler seat can reduce muscle fatigue quite a bit.
