Default Heated Gear Hook up

Hi all, Picked a new 2017 Tri-Glide Nov. of last year, as my wife is now interested in riding with me. I just purchased some heated gear to prolong our riding season, but was curious how most who use heated gear get connect it to the bike for power. The gear came with fused pig tails for connecting directly to the battery, but I also had the dealer install the accessory switches on the dash with this type of application in mind.

Thoughts of suggestions? Thanks!

On my Road King I use the battery hookup. The connector rests between the seat/tank right in front of my lap. Your trick will be what to do with the controller and all the wiring....I just wire tie the excess and let it rest in my lap......

The two dash switches control one supply each; one of them is limited to two amps, the other ten. So that probably means using the battery hookup no matter what, especially with two of you plugged in.

What I have done in the past is use a fused and relay powered fuse box. Wired that directly to battery, had a relay between the fused box and battery. That allowed me to connect whatever I wanted to the fuse box and power any accessory, led lights etc. search the internet for a fused box.
