tri-glides and RPM's

It depends what speed I'm going. In 6th gear & 3,000 RPM in going about 73 MPH. I don't cruise over 80, and typically only exceed 80 for shorter durations. So, at 80MPH my motor is spinning at 3,300 RPMs. And if traffic allows it I cruise between 75 & 80.
Note: The gearing on the later model TriGlides is about 10% lower than the Ultra it is based upon. This is to help it get going.
I wish someone would offer a higher ratio 6th gear. Yeah it would be a big jump from 5th to 6th...but when accelerating, I typically don't shift into 6th until I'm at speed. Baker offers a 7 speed transmission, but their 7 gear has the same ratio as the stock 6th gear.

Most of my interstate driving around my home area is 3 lane, and this time of year congested. I cruise in 6th gear and at between 72 and 76 or so. This keeps my in the "pack" of other vehicles and is just better defensive driving for the area.
On 2-lane routes if I have to cruise under 60 I will stay in 5th. At 60 and over I am always in 6th.

Usually around 3000-3300 RPM.
TriGeezer, I do believe the M8's should go back to the 2 wheeled gearing that the first couple of years of the TG's had. Makes more sense for where the power falls in the RPM band for the M8 engines. That would put highway rpm's in the 2700-3000 range.

Whatever speed keeps me separated from the clumps of traffic.
