Anyone else have the Harley running boards from Lehman's? What is you opinion of them other than expensive?

 

I wonder how they affect the airflow to the engine? Looks like they would hamper in a litle bit.

I have mine on ... biggest problem is getting the dealer to install them correctly ... the boards give you some cushion from road heat and noise ... the boards seem to keep engine noise from bouncing off the road and back up and there is a considerable shifting of noise to behind the trike ... the boards are a bit pricy but look good ... they do not seem to interfear with air flow to the engine ...

 

There is enough air gaps along the inside of the boards to vent the engine. I had mine done by a local Three wheeler dealer and he didn't have a problem. The problem I had was when I had the Legend Air Suspension installed, the bracket from the running boards interfere with the brackets from the on board air compressor. The dealer had to make some brackets for the compressor.
