Default Exhaust Picture After 7K miles

Let the games begin. Getting a little start on this winters modifications, decided to get the exhaust off so I can wrap it . For those who are interested this is what the Fuelmoto head pipe looks like after a little over 7,000 miles of road trips. This summer I ran for hours on end at speeds of 75+ mph while traveling out west and also on a road trip to TN.

Mike, what a difference; my stock pipe had more blue after a only couple hundred miles then yours does with over 7,000 mile.

I can't complain considering how it was run. Figure I had every nook and cranny jam packed with stuff plus the wife and I on it then run it in 95 degree temps at 75+ mph for hours on end. Also took the trip to SD with my dad and ran the living dog crap out of it. This is a picture of the stock head pipe after only 2,800 miles, I don't miss the hot running bastard either.

Default Chromium Precipitation

The blue don't matter on bikes with shields. The shine and show crowd might be a little upset.

I just look at stainless pipes in the weld areas. If they are overheated during the welding process, "heat effected zone" it drives away the chromium and they will rust in the weld area. Don't suspect we will find any problems with that with these pipes. Typical blue up close to the heads but that is still not hot enough to cause metallurgical problems.

Not a spot of rust on them, the welds look great.

It might have been just a touch, I didn't spend a huge amount of time on the tune.

Unless somebody has performed a miracle that I am not aware of....the rear cylinder on every one I have ever owned runs hotter. Can't get as much air back there to cool it off. Maybe you guys with the dual intake runners are able to tune some of that out, but it's pretty normal. Oh god....that sounded just like the phrase they use down at the stealershiup....sorry...I didn't mean to use that term.
