Ok, I caved and bought a rear bumper for the TG. Now I'm having 2nd thoughts....will the trailer hitch and ball clear the rear bumper? Anyone have the rear bumper mounted with a trailer hitch? I need minimum 3" clearance from the leading edge of trunk to outside edge of bumper. Thanks

 

Barbara, I have a bumper and the MCHitch on mine. I don't have any problems, my ball clears the bumper by a lot.

 

I don't have a hitch on mine Barbara but M3 does and it does not create any problems.

 

I have no problems with mine.

 

The Rivco Hitch for the TG actually has two hole settings, and also advertises that they will work with or without a bumper. Evidently the two hole setting in the hitch will allow it to adjust on varable lengths for bumpers. I don't have the bumper and push the hitch into the receiver all the way.

Barb, I am looking at getting bumper and hitch for my TG, did you have any issues with putting yours on.

 

Haven't had the bumper installed.....will do on the 31st when I have 30K done.

Barb, I'm looking to put a hitch on mine too. I already have the bumper. I just don't want to blow my warranty.

 

I have the bumper and hitch with no clearance problems, but be careful. The rear cargo door will clear the ball but with the trailer attached the cargo door hits the trailer hitch when down. not a problem when loading the bike, but if it fell while traveling it wouldn't be pretty.
