Can't wait for mine to get here to install ... having said that, talk to me about these crotch coolers (sounds a bit dirty ... but who knows ... might be fun ...LOL), I'm assuming they are some sort of replacement heat shield?

I just finisahed putting the 1.5" tank lift on my '11 TG this evening.
Took about 30 minutes and looks really nice.
I do want to take a ride tomorrow if possible to check the wind reduction.
Thanks, DK Customs.

Okay, I was able to ride a while when it finally got above 40 degrees for a while.
I really like the way the trike looks with the tank lifted. \
It really shows off the rocker bxes now.
With regard to the reduction of felt wind, I couldn't tell any difference in the wind except my glasses didn't shake quite as much.
I was really hoping it would make a big difference but I can't see that it did.
But, I love the way it looks now, so I call it a WIN.
Now I just need to find time to install the lift kit.
Maybe I can get that done this week.

What effect did raising the tank front have on the fuel gauge and usable fuel in the tank?

I have seen no difference I worry about fuel level I rarely ever see the low fuel light but that is just me. I carefully plan my fuel stops but what the gauge says is real close to what I add. travel safe fearless

The only difference I could see was the miles remaining dropped from 94 before the lift to 66 after. I haven't gassed up since then but I will have to before I can go anywhere so I can get a better feel for it then.
I just want this crappy weather to end.
Cold and raining is not normal for Houston!!

Glad you're enjoying it.

That air that used to hit your chest and come up and make you glasses shake...that air is now going under the tank and helping cool the engine a bit.

Some people experience more benefit from reduced buffeting than others...many variables.

On the 14's and up we've seen no change in the gauges or MTE. The MTE going from 94 to 66 was most probably a result of the tank being moved around during install.

Even on the Pre-14's the MTE is extremely accurate (for Harley, lol). However, on the Pre-14's the mechanical gauge, which is rarely accurate stock, is even less accurate with a Tank Lift.

The most important factor is, there is no reduction of usable gas in a TG with a 1.5" or 2" Tank Lift.

Here's a pic of me filling up on my 2011 with a 2" Tank Lift. I was not even sputtering as I pulled in for gas.
