This is what I did, I replaced rear tires on TG with 225/75R15. Raised TG 1.4 inches. Handling greatly improved. She does need to have new cams for sure now. She will get S&S 557 cams 2 July and will dyno 9 July with TTS tuner. The ride is a lot easier on the butt and back. Running 21 # pressure in tire. Just finished 250 miles on her. Going to is how 24# feels in her and add some more dyna beads for balancing. Only had 6oz so put 3 in each tire. Will add 1oz more to each and 2oz to front. with new tire gear ratio should be closet to the ultra. 10% increase over all gears. done at the tires and speedometer is 10% under actual now.

Good luck with your tire change. You have now changed your final drive ratio to worse than the '09 & '10 MYs.

Maybe a dumb question but i am getting ready to trike my 09 ultra. I am planning on a 18" preformance machine front wheel with a 130/70/18 Dunlop Elite 3 Touring Tire on it. On the rear I will be using a 17 x 5 preformance machine wheels. The trike body manufacture usually put 225/60r15 on but I am looking at using Dunlop Direzza DZ 101 tires that are sized 245/45r17.. Not to worried about the speedo due to having Medallion Gauges that I can setup/ recalculate using my GPS. Question is will I encounter some of the same that you all are talking about as far as Power?

But, you will probably feel/be underpowered with the 32 tooth primary pulley. That is why most of us changed to the 30 tooth pulley which is standard on the '11 and up TriGlides.
