Nope, Put the trike up on auto ramps, the jack the trike till it relieves most of the pressure on the shocks, undo three bolts, take off the old mount and replace with the new, put the three bolts back in, and tighten them up. Takes an hour and a half at the outside with a couple of beers in the middle.

Make sure you read the requirements for comfort lift as compared to the regular lift kits. Use the correct one. I have the regular one.

So, no need to remove the wheels? Cool.

I needed to lift my bike when I did the headers. Remembered I had a set of auto ramps stashed in a corner. The bike went right up on 'em no problem and made it a heck of a lot easier to work on. I figure if I need to raise the front at the same time I'll just jack it up. With both rear wheels on the ramps it should be pretty stable.

Shoot me an email at Kevin@DKCustomProducts.com and I email you back the instructions so you can get a bit of a head-start.

It's a straightforward install.

The steering is quicker (easier) and you might enjoy the nicer ride too.

Most important installation instruction is "Follow the instructions that Kevin sends with the kit". Especially the one that tells you to use a scissor jack under the pully housing to support the axle once you remove the shocks. Don't cheat. Do one side at a time.
