They are now assembled in the York Pa plant where they assemble the Touring line. The snap ring part number has been superseded by 81333-09a.

Pulled the differential out and pulled the pulley side bearing off and...the pulley comes off without having to use a puller(per manual). Is that a problem? I'm waiting for the local HD dealer to get the snap ring in to install, but not sure about the pulley fit. Could use an opinion. Thanks

Tru-Glide Diffrential fix
Since first making a spacer to fix the missing snap ring that is to keep the rear belt pulley in place so I could make a long trip, I pulled diff. out again and cut down the surface that the belt sprocket bearing rides on as it had bad wear and made a steel sleeve on a good lathe to press on it . Then made a steel spacer between it and the outer bearing. Along with replacing the rubber compensators, I put .010 crush on the compensators. I have ridden it another 6,000 miles with no problems. And no you don't have to remove body to pull diff. just loosen belt adjusters and slide diff. out after removing starter and axles. About a 3-4 hour job with re-aligning and adjusting belt.

Part Number
My 2016 Trike Models Parts Catalog shows PN 83331-09A as a Snap Ring for sprocket bearing. I think maybe you just transposed a couple of numbers. The 81333-09A doesn't show anything online. The PN 83331-09A Shows $2.32 online. If I am wrong I am sorry. I certainly am not questioning your wealth of knowledge and helpfulness on the forums.

When I had the same problem on my 2012 TriGlide I also couldn't find a H-D snap ring . The local shops didn't carry them and told me that they were on back order probably 3 months out. So, I went to a local heavy equipment sales and repair facility. They sell skidders, bulldozers, you know, that kind of equipment. They had a complete set of snap rings from itty bitty to massive. Got what I needed for about $1.50 each.
