It appears to be a better design and a little more thought put into it.

So reading the installation instructions from post # 2 it says the tray thing is only available to dealers. What does that mean for us home mechanics? The kit we buy won't include these parts? That would suck....or did I read this wrong?

Its available now. The retail price is $299 plus the cost of the adhesive.

Or if you dont like the idea of gluing the plastic funnel to the inside of the primary cover, the new 2014 primary cover comes with the funnel cast into the ribbing of the cover you can buy

Ok, thanks. So it sounds like just the adhesive is only available to dealers. Do you know if the $299 kit comes with the rotor and spring pack? Or is that a different part number.

The adhesive kit part # 11100088 retail price $39.95 Its available to customers. I checked and found it on Surdyke Harleys website for $35.61

Apparently the part number listed in the instructions is wrong.

The kit does not come with the rotor. If you have the now older version SE Comp you will continue to use the same rotor. If you have the stock rotor assembly with the spring pack that is welded to the rotor, then yes you will need to order the correct rotor assembly

The new SE Comp does come with the spring pack. Harley didnt change the spring pack as per the 2014 MY technical bulletin

I attached a screen shot of the blow up parts for the SE Comp. The yellow arrows indicate which parts have been changed from the earlier SE comp version to the new 2014 SE Comp version. Note, there is no arrows for both the spring pack and rotor for change.

The long term question is, will the re-design lubricate the bore with in the setup
and reduce the sprocket spoke wear that was causing the noise and the fretting.

I attached a picture of one of my SE Comps and what happens with the older version after only 10k miles. The fretting is metal to metal with no lubrication causing the rust seen on everything.
