Default Tri-Glide Issues-2014 Trikes And Newer Rushmore Trikes

Here is a sticky for the owners of the new model 2014 Tri-Glide to discuss issues only related to those models. I left the other Tri-Glide Issues up as a sticky too so we could continue to use it for the earlier trikes.

This is good since 2014 trikes have different technology ! And wih it being the first year in production it is nice to see what is giving owners troubles .

Planning on pulling the trigger on a Project Rushmore trike, but cannot do it until I feel comfortable HD has solved the coolant puking issue. What`s the latest? Anyone with `14 having problems? Can wait for a `15.

Default Yea

I was concerned also when trying to to decide to buy a trike .
Seems that either it's fixed or no one is riding
Or it's to cold to get any heat I. The cooling system to stress it?
I went ahead and bought....they will fix it I'm sure of that.

I have the 2014 Tri Glide and never had any coolant problems. Got it first of November. Mine is on the list to be "checked" but not going to take it in till 1,000 mile check. A little over 800 so far.

Mine got hot enough the other day for the fans to come on, no coolant issues. I have already had the filler neck replaced. My build date was 09/04. I did have one coolant burp
last summer.

Is there a after build date that everything was fixed at factory?

My only problem was a bad battery. Delivered bike and the next day the battery was dead, bad cell. Got a new battery and now use the battery tender and seems to be ok. Just wondering if there is a way to turn off the headlights. Read the book and no direction on turning them off, only fog lamps and hi/low beam. The radio infotainment also takes a hit on the battery.
