Default 2011 TriGlide, price?

We are on vacation in FL. and looking at a 2011 triglide, dealer
said has about 3K add ons with asking price of 28K. I realize he
has to ask something. Bike also has 8,200 miles on clock and
somewhat of a special metal flake paint (changes colors in sun).
Just what would be a good price to pay with NO trade in?
I am thinking writing a check for 24K, and tell him to cash the
check and call me, or just destroy the check. No harm no foul.
What say you? tenn.vol.

Tell them to cash the check and call you? Why would you do that? They should be able to tell you within 5 minutes while you are standing there whether they will accept that offer. Sounds like a fair beginning offer, expect them to counter. Decide how much you are willing to pay, don't be a d*ck and you will probably get it bought. Just remember that they have something you want to buy and they want to sell but it takes two cooperative sides in a negotiation to strike a deal. I have people make ridiculous offers on used cars all the time (I'm not saying your offer is) and then get mad and act a fool when we counter or decline. Don't be that guy. Good luck, hope it works out for you.

I bought my 2012 March last year from a private party for 28K with about the same miles on it and easily 3k worth of add ons. Now a year later and the Tri your looking at is a year older. The 2014's have enough significant improvements that the value of the 13's and down have been hurt a bit. I would think 24-24.8K would take it home.

After a closer look they ALL need helper springs, and the 2014 Triglide
have several improvement over early model. Maybe 24K is too much!
Let me rethink this....tenn.
