Been riding the trike to try out the new cam and tune. The cam definetly increased the torque all over the normal riding range and the FP3 tune is doing great as well, no decel pop or any issues yet.

I went to -3 deg at WOT, and just like you said, it's very happy. Very warm day, high was 90 deg. Since making that final tweak, no knock retard events at all over 6 recording sessions. I hit the throttle pretty hard in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear and it ran great. Getting 28 mpg at 75 mph, and 33 mpg at 55 mph. I think I got Big Blue's mind right!
Had a chance to make a quick loop through Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Been too wet (snow up high). Takes about 4 hours door to door. This time I went up the CA180 and down the CA198. Before I went, I dropped timing another .50 deg above 2500 rpm @ 100kPa. Wiz if you are using 92 octane, that may be why -3 worked for you and -3.5 worked for me. California 91 octane is a challenge; it was for with SE255s too. Also fattened up the edges of the closed loop area. I raised the WOT VEs like Wiz recommended. And boy howdy, Big Blue WAS HAPPY!!! Pulled very hard going up the CA180 which has much higher speed limits than CA198. I was able to run it from 2500-4000 rpm and it did very well throughout the range. At the top of the mountain above 6000 feet it ran very well. Going down the decel areas of the tune were a little rough at first but improved after several miles. I got about 28 mpg at 73 mph, and high 30s in the mountains. I'm convinced my mileage is 100% speed dependent and how I use my right hand. The other issues I thought were contributing are either solved or debunked. Wiz, I'll email you the final tune. I'm going to leave it alone unless you or Doc see something and tell me to tweak it. TS-100 cams are worth every penny!!!

Nice going... I don't think I need to fool with my tune anymore. She runs very strong and I'm happy with it.

This thread seems to have died off a bit. Any more comment on the TTS100 cam?
How about thoughts on putting this cam in a 96" RoadKing pushing a trike?
I just finished adding an IRS to my '07 RK and have been kicking that idea around.

Nice looking ride, I would think the TTS100 would work pretty good in the 96" engine.

+1 on the nice ride IB.

I can't tell you what to buy but others who have used that cam are jumping up and down happy. I've heard it has been used in 96 to 110 with pleasant results in bottom end and midrange where we three wheel boys ride...

I've searched the web to find other reviews or negativity... nada, zip, nothing...

Thanks Mike and Dave. I have also been searching web for info without much results either. I might take the TW555 out of wife TG to use in my RK and replace with the TTS100. I know the 555 will work good in the 96" and the tts100 might be a better match for her 107". Then again I kinda hate to mess with the TG as it really runs great as is. Guess I have to do more thinking. Right now I have the RK primary out and am replacing with SE Comp, Hayden tensioner, Barnett +1 and a heavier clutch spring along with Clutch Wiz just like in her TG. One thing I haven't changed is the primary pulley , I gained 300rpm by using smaller diameter rear tires so 6th gear seems just about right so far.

If I remember right, the 107 in your wife's Triglide also has head work? IMO, I would keep it intact and do the TTS100 in your 96. I think the TW555 might make the bottom end to soft on the 96 because it likes more compression than a stock 96 has.

Right Mike(had FuelMoto do the "B" setup) 10.25 or 10.5 compression have to dig up my my notes . In fact I was just rereading some today about the TTS100 and it liking the lower compression and like I said the TG runs so good I hate to mess with it.

You probably have your answer, keep the Triglide as it is and install the TTS100's in your new trike. IMO that's the direction I would head.
