IF all you are looking for is slip-on mufflers, there are a ton of them out there. I had Rush on my '09 Tri-Glide, wife put Reinhardts on her '11. Both sounded great, the Reinhardt slip-ons had a slightly deeper tone. Not too loud, but a great sound. Benefit of just slip-ons is you don't need a tuner or fuel management system to compensate, a simple re-flash will do. Wife has 30,000 miles on her trike, mine had over 50,000 when we traded it in for a Freewheeler. As was said above, go hang around at bike events, when you 'hear' what you like go talk to the owner, most are very cooperative. Your trike will sound pretty much the same as a 2 wheeler with the same mufflers. Good Luck and happy hunting!

Coronetracer, leaving early 9-17, I had to call 3 different motels for a room.
VW event this weekend in Maggie Valley, need to get out before it starts.
Too early for fall color travelers.
I expect WTT to be crowded.

When I got the 14 TG I wanted to switch mufflers...been using Rush for the last 4 touring bikes. I listened to countless videos, went to bike nights specifically to hear different exhausts...after a month of searching, I realized I liked the Rush slip-ons with the W258's in them better than anything I've heard. Lots of bark, and a nice deep tone that is there whether cruising or getting on it.

I like the Rineharts when you get on them...but at an idle and cruise they are too quiet for me. The CFR's have an interesting sound when getting on them, but cruise is too quiet, and it is not what I would call a classic HD sound.

So, I put the same Rush slip-ons on the 14 that were on the 11. The 11 was a decatted stock header. The 14 has the ceramic 2-1-2 fuelmoto headpipes. I like the sound even better on the 14 than I did the 11. Not sure how much of it is the different headers and how much is the higher compression and different cams in the 14.

Regarding quality on the Rineharts, Devin (the "D" in DK) has them on his SG and has had no quality problems with them. Sort of surprised to hear of the ratings on Amazon.

I get a low/medium rumble with a Fullsac header and 4" Rineharts and it isn't too loud but it still has the unmistakable HD sound.

screwball, your post mentions that when you install slip-ons, the only thing needed is to re-flash. Can you explain what it is and how it is done?
Also, if you change the complete exhaust system, is it necessary to replace the air box or do anything else to the bike?
I don't know much about bikes, but I would like to make my 14TG sound a little louder.
Thanks for your time guys -John
