I looked in the owners manual and Service Manual for engine oil and other fluids compatibility, all I see is use Harley Fluids. I'm new to Harley Motorcycles and I thought I would find something like use 20w50 with API GL-1 or API ---, I still haven't found anything like this, am I missing it? Where should I be looking?

 

I have used Red Line in all my bikes for several years and that's what's going in the TG this weekend.

Red Line 20w-50 in the engine, Red Line Primary fluid and Red Line with Shockproof in the Tranny.

 

I use Amsoil 20w50 in the engine/primary and Redline with ShockProof in the trans. Great combo!!

 

Red Line products here as well, very happy with them.

 

Mobil V-Twin 20/50 in the motor and primary. Redline shockproof in the trany. Many, many miles with this combo.

 

Red line here as well. I really love the Red Line Transmission with shock proof, and the Red Line 20/50 V-Twin Oil. Have just started using the Primary and so far like it.

 

Mobil 1 V Twin in all three holes on both bikes, and in all of my other air cooled machinery.

Mobil 1 V-Twin, all 3 holes in every Harley I have owned since '08. Many miles with zero complications!
