Cog rail road up Mt Washington, I've been up Mt Washington several times. Took the van ride up each time. The 1st time up was in 2007, was 80 degrees down below and a sudden storm front rolled through which dropped the temp to 35 at the top. It poured rain and hailed something fierce. They ended up shutting down the road to motorcycle traffic, nobody could come up and those at the top were stuck until they could fix the ruts.

No, not derailed...just sitting their as passenger load up for the ride down.
We were fortunate. 65 at the bottom and 45 at the top. We did ride thru several layers of clouds.
There was only once 300 yard section that was not paved, so that was nice too.
