We bought the first 2009 Tri-Glide delivered to the dealer way back when. She rode it for 2 years when we bought her a new '11 and I inherited the '09. 54,000 miles later we traded it in for a new Freewheeler. Replaced the radio twice under warranty, never had any mechanical problems. Good Luck!

I had 36,000 miles on the '09 and traded for the '13 Anniversary TG. The only difference is the 30-tooth spocket instead of the 32-tooth, which affects the gearing and use of 6th gear. Other than that, you will be happy with the '09

I had a '09 Tri-Glide and no problems, except for the trunk seal leaking (was fixed under warranty). My understand that the rear of the TG was made by Lehman...shipped from York to SD and back to York for final painting. The contract with Lehman ended with the 2010's when the owner passed. Lehman was purchased by Champion (correct me if I'm wrong).

Thanks for the background. This one has 25K on it so I am hoping all the bugs have been attended to.

Ours had a lot of issues. Had ESP so all were covered less deductible. Radio changed, CB module changed twice, front brake rotors twice, compensator, stator, trunk leak, wiring harness for hand controls. There may be more, but I don't remember. As for gearing change the final drive gear to a 30 tooth (I used Andrews $230 but are real metal and stout) same belt is used on trikes. You will probably want to do a shock relocation kit to make it ride level (DK Customs).
