Default Switching from two wheels to three !

After several years of thinking about it and one recent instance of thinking I put the kick stand down only to discover I did not, I decided to get rid of my 14 Limited and get a trike. Started looking at 15's, then thought a leftover 14 might do, finally settled on a gently used 14 (4900 miles) with about 4k in add-ons...CB, XM, trailer hitch (never used) and enough chrome to make any chrome-a-holic happy. Got it for much less than a leftover 14 would be.

Beginning the learning curve (you knew they didn't lean didn't you? ) So I will be reading and posting here. Thanks for all the tips so far and for the things I will learn from you all. I'll try to fit in and maybe bring a laugh or two.

Thanks for reading

Steve

Welcome neighbor to the world of 3 wheels! With all that previous riding experience, figuring out "the change" will be easy. I'm happy that my riding buddy still has a 2 wheeler I can play with on occasion.

First off, we don't believe you without pictures ( ). LOL
Welcome to the forum, I guess we've all been there, selling two and going to three....
Yeah, it's a learning curve, take your time and get used to it....easy does it, right?
There's a lot of very knowelegable people here ( me not so much) so any questions just ask away....
Seriously, post some pictures when you can, we all love looking at bikes and trikes...
Ride safe

Welcome to TG land . At least now you don't have to worry about whether you put the kick stand down or not! Took me just under 200 miles to get use to the width and handling!

Welcome, it will take a couple of hundred miles, but you will soon be as comfortable as you were on two wheels. Luckily, I have a second bike, so I can switch back and forth.

Default Yea YEa

I made switch this year...I am very happy! This thing is fun and safe in my opinion. First 500 miles I wasn't sure I did the right thing...but now it is a blast and I take corners faster than I ever did on two wheels and it is just plain fun in a different way than two. The wife goes with me more and I put more miles on it this riding season than I ever did my two wheels. I have had 7 Harleys over 25 years and this is last one and I couldn't be happier. Let us know how it goes for ya.
