Trunk lid won't latch
I rode the trike to work this morning, and when I went to put my helmet in the trunk, the lid would not latch. After slamming it 8 times, it finally latched... Is this just me arguing with an inanimate object, or are there others who have this issue & what is the cure?
By the way, the helmet was the only thing in the trunk.

The latches themselves wouldn't latch? or the trunk lid wouldn't close all the way?

Would'nt latch... Slamming the lid so hard that the entire trike would move with the impact.

when you have a chance, insert you key into the lock, sometimes if the lock is loose the little black thingy ( have no idea other than alignment) will keep the lid from closing all the way and the latches won't lock...
without seeing it it's hard to visualize...sorry.

I believe that the trunk lid is out of adjustment. Take it back to your dealer.

Are we talking about the lower trunk door? I find my push button sticks in the full "IN" position and when that happens you can't close the trunk door because it has nothing to latch to. If you reach in up behind the button you can jiggle the wire and get the button back out and then the trunk door will close. I've had the button "serviced" 2 times and it still sticks.

I have found that bending the latch pins out fix`s the problem. do it a little at a time until you get the right adjustment.

My button was sticking in, came out very slow. Would not latch till it came out. I sprayed the outside edge with pb blaster. worked it several times in and out and it latches now.

this is a long shot but look at your lid retaining cables, wife had the same problem intermitently for awhile. i found the cable on one side or the other was getting caught in the hinge mechinesm, the black plastic coating is now worn away in places on both cables.
