Default gas mileage

i sure don't want to stir up any one but I'm just curious what kind of mileage you get "ON AVERAGE" while doing ROAD TRIPS
i don't have a HD Triglide but do have a 2002 Ultra that has been converted to a trike with a RoadSmith conversion
up till this last winter it was running the original TC88 witch was plenty for the the wife and i
but i have bad hips and knees and was having trouble holding the thing up so decided to convert what i had to a trike
my last Road trip was to Hill City SD last week and we averaged over 35 mpg drove 60 to 65 most of the time
i have upgraded it to a 95" with 9.6 to 1 comp and Andrews 26N cams as well as update the cam department with all the new stuff oil pump and cam plate as well as the oil pump kit
Runs plenty good for two of us and a full LOAD of luggage (Wife likes to bring the kitchen Sink)

Anywhere from 28 to 35..depending....
how much I twist the right hand
pull a trailer
solo or 2 up

as low as 22 when fighting the headwind going across SD and climbing hills...it sucked big time!

Bucking the wind in SD while running 80 mph I'll see right around 24 mpg not pulling a trailer. Pulling the trailer running 75 mph to Maggie Valley I got 21 - 23 mpg, speed plays a huge factor in fuel mileage. A few weeks ago the wife and I went to Wellsboro Pa and I pulled the trailer averaging 60 mph and got 30.5 mpg. I'll get upwards of 35 mpg or maybe a tick better when not pulling the trailer running 60 mph.

Getting around 30mpg here, average riding at or near speed limit.Getting the 30 tooth soon heard that improves milage.

Average MPG is 35.5 with two up and running around 60 MPH. Best ever MPG was 39 running 55 MPH with two up. Worst MPG was 31 MPG running 65 to 70 in the mountains of WV and Va; also two up.

A friend told me a few years ago that he was considering a new Hummer H2 but was concerned with getting 13 MPG. I said, " You're considering a $50K plus vehicle and you're worried about MPG; buy the H2 and enjoy it".

I took the same approach when buying the TriGlide and have not looked back when talking about MPG. Now and then there are other things that have come up or will come up that will make me think maybe a Goldwing conversion would have been the way to go.

Enjoy a TriGlide for what it is.

2011 TG. Interstate riding average 35 plus, two lanes at 37 plus. This all two up, no trailer, full luggage plus tour box top bag, running posted speed limit, 55 to 70.
Best I have gotten solo riding two lane at 50 - 55 was 39.

Lately I have been getting 35 to 36 mpg. I don't check it very often.

Riding from Cooke City, MT to Columbus, MT distance of 108.54 miles and used 2.4 gallons of gas. Of course speeds went from 20 mph to 70 mph.
It helped that it was downhill also.
