I ride a Road King. I also have a TriGlide, the only way my wife will ride with me. I am now recovering from a knee replacement. It aint going so good. I don't know if I'll regain enough strength to ride on two. Its going to be a sad day when I have to see the RK go.
My wife and I are both 66....Traded our ultra on a 2011 TG 2 years ago when I retired from teaching. I've been riding since I was 16 ( just a few years ago). Turned over 40K miles on the trike last fall. Plan on riding until the end. Heading to Daytona tomorrow. Would like to ride down but it is scheduled to snow for the next few days so its going to be trailered.
The wife's poor old back won't handle the 2 wheelers anymore. She has enough pain. She wanted a trike and it seems to help her. We still have some great days riding together and I have Road King and 2 other bikes I can get the 2 wheel fix from when I want it.
I am 43 and have had 4 trikes now, the wife felt more safe on trikes cause her ex scared the crap out of her on a bike but I own trikes cause I like something different.
Thanks everyone for the responses, so far it looks like most are in their 60's. I know the ages can vary but I was curious what the majority would be. I look forward to trying one out for the first time during demo days.
Why does everyone assume that trike owners are old or disabled,I myself am 46 with no disabilities. I went from 2 wheels to 3 wheels, two years ago and will never go back.
Just traded in an 2009 Ultra and a 2011 Sporster because wife wouldn't ride the Sporster and wouldn't ride on the Ultra. If she won't ride on the Trike I may trade her in next. Oh, I'm 63 and she is 54. Ride Safe!
I'm 65 and have had my Triglide for over 2 years. I bought it because I liked it, no physical problems. I also have a Roadglide and Triumph Bonneville T100 so I can go 2 wheels whenever I want also
I'm 62 & girlfriend is 55. She got tired of riding on the back of my 2 wheelers & wanted her own so she got the 2010 TG & I liked it so well that I traded my limited for the 2012 & have never regretted. She's got about 33K on hers & I have 19K on mine.
