Default One more crotch cooler question - I promise

I installed the Capt. Itch Crotch Cooler in the TriGlide. They rest on the front portion of the side panel and, even though they are suede lined, I'm concerned about rubbing the paint on the side panel. Is my concern even valid? For those that have them, has this been an issue?

I don't have painted side panels, my chrome oil tank is there. I don't see any evidence of rubbing. Hope this helps.

Anything that can move and get fine particles between it and the paint will at some point rub the finish of the paint and leave a mark

Put a piece of 3M film there to make sure it is what gets rubbed.

I've used them all last riding season with no noticeable scuffing. Ride safe

I put the Crotch Cooler on my RK about 3 years ago. ABSOLUTELY no scuffing or mark of any kind to the side covers! I wouldn't waste my time "covering" the covers with anything!
