Default Rear brake Mod???

Hi all, Buddy of mine had his right leg amputated and is awaiting a prostetic leg. He has a 2010 triglide. Is there a mod or contraption that will relocate the foot brake to the handle bars? I have heard of some kind of proportioning valve for the front and rear that operates of the front hand brake, but cant seem to find anything. Checked with the dealer with no help from them. Thanks!

You could check out the K2-lever http://www.disabledmotorcyclerider.com/klever.html.

The K2 lever is the only option that should be considered. The front master cylinder will not be able to supply enough pressure to effectively stop the trike with the front and rear brakes linked.

He should also consider upgrading the stock front HD semi floating rotor to a full floating rotor and better pads with more friction such as EBC double H sintered pads or lyndall gold brake pads . He will find that as a amputee that he will rely mostly on his front brakes. I know Im a left leg amputee with a custom right foot shifter. I use my front brake at least 80% of the time

Tom

Get out of here unless you been there and done that brother. Celebrate Memorial Day and think about your wounded and dead warriors. Please do not take this personally.

Disabled riders are all about themselves and different disability circumstances. There are many disabled riders here in this forum including myself that can be of assistance. I did not mean to alienate anyone and apologize if I did so. Been a wounded warrior since 9/1/68 and have ridden Harleys since then one way or another. Again I apologize for any misconceptions, but this weekend we proudly fly our nations colors and stay home to avoid the drunks. Nuff said, as too many people party and forget the significance of my dead and wounded brothers and sisters.
