Default Fender reflectors Removable?

Can I remove the reflectors on the fender without harming the paint? They don't look too good, but no way do I wish to harm the paint. Any body share their knowledge?

You probably can but why would you want to remove a safety feature of your bike. You have very limited reflector exposure side to side.

Easily removed by pulling fish line between them and the fender. No paint damage.

I only wish they would light up for safety reasons.

I never tried heating first, sounds like a good idea especially on harder to remove emblems. Seems like everything is stuck on now. I also use WD-40 for residue.
Thanks for the heat tip.
