Default State Farm

State Farm full coverage, here in the North Midwest we take the collision off during the winter when in storage. Total per month with collision is $23 / mo. when in storage about $15 / mo. so about $228 / year depending on when we take it out of storage. We also have our home owners, Car, Truck, 2 snowmobiles, Enclosed trailer, and Million Dollar Umbrella with state farm. So multi policy discounts apply.

Our trikes are just over $300 a year a piece. They are ridden year round so we don't have any down time.

Full coverage with Allstate just a tad under $700.00 a year. I thought it was a little high but these Trikes are expensive to repair if damaged.

We pay about $1100 a year for ours plus 2 scooters through Progressive. $450 of that is for Michigan Catastrophic Clams (that we can't claim unless a cage is involved). They factor in the 6 months of downtime in their pricing.

Now you guys are scaring me. I have heard here in Iowa, we have the best rates in the country. When I bought my '94 bagger, Farmers quoted me around $184 per year for full year round coverage. It stayed right at that amount until 2 or 3 years ago when it went up to $235. I had no problem with that amount. A couple years ago I switched my house, truck, and car to State Farm at a savings of $1200 per year. The agent asked me if I wanted him to give me a quote for the Harley. I told him not likely as I doubted he could touch what I was paying. When the policy was ready to renew, he quoted me $146 for the '94. I put policies side by side and the new quote has better coverages. Before I got the trike, I stopped by the agent and he quoted me $155 for the 2013 Anny. Full coverage, year round. $250 deductible. I just went back and looked at my policy to make sure on the deductible. I was incorrect on what I was paying on the trike. It is $185 per year. I opted for some extra coverage not on original quote.

About a month ago I was at a friend's house and we were shooting the bull. He was bitching about how much he was paying to insure his house, truck, and bike with Nationwide. I told him what I was paying with State Farm and he called my agent the next day. Later in the week he stopped by with a side of smoked ribs. He saved over $400 and wanted to thank me.

I am in no way associated with the insurance industry, just my experience.
