$180 for me with dino . ask my dealer why dino instead of syn and they told me they have had better luck with no oil problems if they break in on dino , next change will be syn [ mobil one v twin ] they said 2nd one ok

 

3rd Harley for me. All 3 Harley's have had Mobil 1 V-Twin from 1k service on. I love it!

Did my own. Cost was the price of oil and filter. Mobil 1 20/50 in motor and primary and Red Line in the trany. My Tri glide has not been back to dealer since I drove away three years ago. When they had the recall on the brake switch I bought it and took it home and installed it myself. But that is just me.

 

have used Mobil one in my last 4 but if I told them to do it my way then if something happened they would say see , this way I did it there way

 

I get my 1000 mile and 5000 mile free at my dealer

 

I did my own...Reading through the check list there isn't anything to it in my opinion. With non adjustable clutch what is critical to check that I cant do? Never heard of any problem with any warrantee when Dealer didn't perform service routines? If so almost everyone says they will do rest of maintenance after 1000 mile there selves...? What's the difference Dealer did 1000 mile but I did 5000 mile as far as warrantee ? I have 4000 miles now and I'm going to do the oil change be fore I put it away for winter.

Tucson Harley Davidson charged me $500 and filled with Amsoil.

 

My dealer has the 1,000 mile check posted in their service department at $240 for big twins.

 

today i took my baby to Motorsports in San Juan, total cost was $225, not bad!!

 

Free @ 1000 miles, FREE @ 2500 miles.

I use Syn3 in motor, Formula+ in Primary, Bel-Ray 85W-140 in transmission.
I am extremely happy with this combination.

Currently @ 6600 miles and runs better with each mile I put on.
