Default TriGlide tire question

I was wondering what kind of mileage I can expect from the stock tires on my TG. I'm kind of conservative when it comes to the throttle.
What have you found that was normal replacement mileage?

Most trikes get well over 30, 000 miles on the rears...front over 20,000 miles...

I'll go with well over 30,000 on the rear tires as I have 31,000 on mine and they are not showing any signs of wear. I got 12,000 out of the first front tire and 11,000 out of the second one. With the third tire I changed to the Michelin Commander-2 from the Dunlop. It was basically the same price and people claim to be getting 20,000+ out of it. With 8,000 miles on the Michelin I still have a lot of tread showing at this point. I'm sure your riding style and road conditions will have a lot to do with the mileage you get.

Me too glenbar, I'm changing my original now. 12K miles and the center tread is really shallow. I'm going with a Michelin Commander II, a rear tire mounted in reverse on the front. I did this on a previous trike and I never wore it out.

I have to blame the TN/NC twisties for the worn out tire. I do tend to push it in the mountains. I am looking forward to many more miles on the Michelin Commander II.

50,000 + on rears while 20,000 + on the front twice. Now on my third front.

I got almost 18K out of my front tire and rears look like new at 22K.

Wondering....most wing trike riders change the front tire from a radial type to a bias ply sport touring rear tire, most mount it in reverse...
Wonder if that would work for us...stock tire last around 9000 miles, with the rear sport touring tire they are getting above 20,000.
