There's so much electronic wizardry going on with these things, when the battery gets tired, they tend to go south in a hurry is my experience. My 2011 did much the same thing. Had been working fine, I didn't touch it for a few weeks, and the battery was gone the next time I tried to start it.. Wouldn't take a charge, nothing.

Bouncing around on a trailer might have also shaken some junk off the plates inside the battery. Probably wanna do a good load test on it... My guess is that it won't hold up too well.
