Default Performance Mod Opinions

Been trying to nail down exactly what I want to use for my Stage 1 performance mods. Doubt I will ever go beyond S1 with the 103.

Last weekend I was in Atlanta for a concert, stopped by one of the local dealers for a visit and started talking to a parts guy and one of the technicians who appeared extremely knowledgeable and noted they had performed Stage 1 on several '14 TGs.

Below are their recommendations, surprisingly there are no Harley parts in this list! Looking for feedback, good, bad or indifferent. I plan to make my decision and order parts on Monday.

Air Cleaner - V&H Naked V02
Head Pipe - V&H Power Duals or Fuelmoto Jackpot
Mufflers - V&H Tapered Slash Cut or 3.5" / 4" Jackpot
Tuner - V&H FP3 is what they mostly use for Stage 1, PV2 is a good option

Plan to call FM on Monday and see what they can work up for a package deal.

All comments welcome since I am new to the TG world and they are a little different from my 2-wheeled bikes.

TIA!

Call Fuel Moto as planned. They will set you up with what you need and provide tech support as well.

The V&H parts suggested are OK, but I think you can do better as far as tuners go. The PV2 is an excellent option, and probably what Fuel Moto will recommend.

When I do my 2014 Tri Glide I will be using:
FullSac Cx ceramic coated head pipe ordered with trike extension tubes (Not the Dx)
FullSac S&S Air Cleaner with spacer
Reinhart 4" exhaust (make the most torque)
TTS Tuner

Some have said the Harley head pipe with cat removed makes good power and torque.

Very smart move but add SE254e cams and just be done with it...

When I did the stage 1 on my 2012 Trike, I went with Fuel Moto all the way.

Stainless 2-1-2 header (don't forget the pipe extension.

4" slip ons

Billet A/C

Power Vision.

Also the FCS Fans from Wardspartswerks is also a good investment. My EITMS never came on with these fans.

Thanks all! I'll put a call into FM soon as they open this morning. I have a 3 day weekend coming up, the wife has to work and I'll have some help from my son if needed.

Would like to get this knocked out before heading to Thunder Beach on October 1 and looks like a great deal of September will be spent traveling for work...(UGH!!!)

The FM Jackpot mufflers are great, but you might want to consider the 3.5" version unless you're going to install a lift kit. They look just fine and don't drag.
