yes i have used the hd heated grips on my last four harleys all with no problems here in canada we use them alot. some other riders have had thiers break, installed them on my 13 tri glide and at 15000 km they stopped working my dealer replaced no charge . seems to be luck of the draw.

Thanks 53servicar , I am considering them , I haven't found a set of gloves that keep my fingers from getting cold yet ! Ask the dealer about heated grips for my 14 Triglide but didn't like the price or the fact that wiring would be on the outside of handlebars ! LOL

I like Gerbings heated clothing. Gloves, Union Ridge suit, jacket liner. These work better for me than heated grips. Just saying

Wife and I both have the heated grips that come stock on the Limited. They will not replace heated gloves, but are effective in taking the edge off of the cold.

I didn't think they would be all that much, but after using them for a while on the Limited during our colder weather, I had a set installed on the wife's Triglide.

I've had the Heat Demons and the HD heated grips. I like the HD better because of the heat control. Heat Demons have 3 positions and the HD are variable 1 to 10.
I wouldn't be without them in BC.

FWIW, I have the OEM heated grips on my '13 CVO Ultra and they work pretty good for cool temps but my heated gloves (IMHO) do a lot better job, especially in colder temps.

Ideally, having both is the best way to go, if for no other reason, if one or the other fails.

I left home early one morning this week and the temp was in the high 30's!

Had I not had my "heated" equipment I probably wouldn't have made that trip with my friends. It turned out to be a beautiful, Michigan fall ride and I was glad that I went.
