Default Exhaust Upgrade Advice Needed

Hello I'm new to the board, I've had a 2015 Streetglide Special for 6 months now and am looking to upgrade the exhaust and power.

Let me start by saying I'm not very knowledgeable in motorcycle mechanics etc...

I'm looking for an upgrade in total sound and a deeper bass on the exhaust, yes cause its cool but I do a lot of city driving and have had a few close calls from ignorant cagers.

I would also like to upgrade on horsepower, so what all would I need for a complete upgrade.

My budget is around $1300 or so

thank you in advance

I put on a whole Vance & Hines dresser dual system with the double slash mufflers, the VO2 intake, and the Fuel Pak to tune it all. It may run slightly more than $1300 for everything, but not by much, and it'll make it sound and perform much better! Even if you aren't too knowledgeable about the mechanical side, the instructions they give are pretty straight forward and if you do have any issues there'll be a Youtube video that someone has probably made to help with it. Just don't rush yourself and make sure that if needed you can leave your bike disassembled and come back later. The Fuel Pak is super easy to tune because it just requires going to a web page, selecting what mods you've done, then pushing a couple buttons on the module so the numbers match. Very easy (I had never messed with any kind of car/bike tuning stuff before).

A less expensive route that's also MUCH easier and can be done in less than an hour is just getting a nice set of slip on mufflers. You'll improve your sound some, but you most likely won't improve your power. It'll be out of tune and you'll also probably heard popping from your exhaust when engine braking. It'll take 4 bolts and loosening 2 pipe clamps to put the new mufflers on.

I hope this helps! Be sure to let us know what you ended up doing, would love to see!

Some mid install pics on mine:

Here are a few links for you:
Dresser Duals: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/443-681 $431
Slip-on mufflers: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/451-059 $386 (Can do any muffler style you like, but add about $300 onto the price)
VO2 instake: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/162-534 $143 (uses OE air box cover)
Fuel Pak: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/126-995 $359

All comes to just over $1,300, usually you can get free shipping with an order this big. It'd be going over your budget by about $25 (since you're in NY there shouldn't be sales tax) then you would just need to put it all on the bike.
