Default Vrod reliable?

Hey everyone,

I was curious about how the reliability on the vrod is? I am interested in a used one locally and was looking for a little insight. Thanks.

You'll be happy if you get it. Absolutely no problems to speak of. Some might chime in on the fuel gauge issue, but its minor. Most don't use the gauge anyhow, they use the trip meter.

Other than that, put gas in it, change the oil and ride.

VRODS are very nice looking. I started to get one when I was looking for my train.

So far the V-rods are 100,000+ mile bikes. No one, outside the race groups, has managed to kill a daily rider yet. Several are over 100,000 miles. I'll let you know in another 77,000 miles. Mine is just over 2 years old.

I have to agree keep the oil changed and ride very reliable.
