2011 night rod special price check
i sold my fatboy bout a month ago, had to go by the local hd shop so i stopped in today and this bike really got my attention its a left over 2011 night rod spcial in orange and black the sales man said hed make me one hell of a deal, i sed ok what is it? you can prolly get it for 14 he says. i said ok i think about it, i just looked on hd.com and the msrp is 14999 for two tone paint. 1000 off is cool but in my book its not one hell of a deal, so whats the goin price on these things?
and the main question are the v rods fun, before the softtail i had a superbike, that was fun but uncomfortable as hell, im looking for that rush but with some comfort is this the bike for me?

If it has ABS & Security it is pretty good but if it doesnt then I want it cheaper. You best bet is to look for a low mileage bike with pipes, tuner and air cleaner. You'll get it alot cheaper then 14.
As far as fun to ride yes youll love it. Nothing like bringing it up to 9k to give you that rush.

With my arithmetic that made the deal for the NRS about $13500.00 that was 3 months ago. You ought to be able to do better than that now. That was for a 2012! You ought to be able to get $2000-2500 off an 2011.
I did not get that bike - I did get my original 2009 V Rod VRSCAW back - long story -
I can tell you this - the 2010 RoadKing that I traded in was not as comfortable for me as the 09 V Rod. The 2012 NRS was not as comfy as the 09 for me as the bars are a little to low for me.
The V's are terrific bikes - they will "run" with virtually any super bike - but have comfort to match..I'm 6'2" 32" inseam - I can ride my V all day anywhere - anytime. They have the speed and power to match their looks. And are well respected among HD riders. Get one you
really can't go wrong-If you like speed and power. Then get over to www.1130cc.com and witness the fierce brand loyalty to the VRod
over there.

wow, that is a crappy sales person there. when i bought my sporty it had them god ugly aluminum star rims and i wouldn't buy the bike with out the laced tires. it was the only xl they had left and it was perfect for my 27 inseam. at the end of negotiations i ended up pay 8990.00 for the little beast. they put the laced rims, and did my 1000 mile first service. they wanted to sell the bike and if they really want to sell the bike they will make deals. i may have spent more then most but they got what they wanted and i got what i wanted.

$13k is a damn good deal (with ABS). I would jump on that. Make sure you get the ABS... that is good for about a 30% reduction in accident risk.
I bought the V-Rod because it has no limits... unlike previous bikes. I think if you are old enough to be responsible with the power it can save you. You can literally "jump" out of the way of unintentionally homocidal drivers. However, if you are young and dumb (like I was at one time) it can get you into a heap of trouble very quickly. Nuff said.
