Default Bike Dies Going Down The Road

Have a friend that has a 2006 VRSCA (early model w/small tank). She has had the fuel pak and crankshaft sensor replaced.

Going down the highway the bike dies once or twice a day. She can pull the clutch in, toggle the thumb switch off then back on, release the clutch and it starts back up.
Had headlight on hi-beam the last time it happened about , the hi-beam indicator didn't go out so guessing it's not primary electrical. Was about a half hour after stopping for fuel.

Bad ignition switch or handlebar switch or any other ideas?

She has it back to the dealer and they said someone else was having problems with the spark plug boot puddling water causing issues. (we weren't in the rain).

Thanks for any help.

Good starting point is to check battery connections at "both" ends for tightness. Electrical gremlins are sometimes hard to chase so hope your friend's is an easy find/fix...

Check all the grounds. there is one on the rocker box and the main one is on the frame on the left side just under the fuel tank/swingarm area. should have a rubber boot covering it. these have been known to get loose and corrode.

Sounds like she may be hitting the kill switch.....hoping you will ask her to ride with you......or could be corroded grounds.......
