Default Small leak from rear brake bleeder valve

I've recently bled my rear brake and have noticed a small leak coming from the bleeder valve. The cover is no longer on it as it was lost during a road trip. I've tightened down the bleeder valve, but it still allows the tiniest amount of fluid to come out. This results in the rear brake not functioning as it should, although it still works. Does this indicate that I need a new bleeder valve or just the cover for it? I believe I've tightened it as much as it should be tightened. Thanks for any help.

Bart

Thanks for the info and speedy reply! I'll get a hold of a new bleeder valve and re-bleed the rear brake.
