Dunlop vs Michelin Tires

I ride an 07 Dyna with Dunlop D401 - 100/90/19 front and Dunlop K591 16-/70/17 rear. I seem to wear the rear out every 4-5k miles. Ive had the bike a couple years and now going on my 4th rear tire.

Has anyone tried either the Michelin Commander or Macadam?

Any suggestions???
