180/55-18 to stock 180/65-16 lower stance?
I'm so confused it's a shame. The 09 SG i just bought came with a (aftermarket) 18X6.5 rim with a 180/55-18 tire. I'm thinking about going back to stock 16X5 with 180/65-16.
If i do that swap, will the bike sit any lower in the back? and if so, how much?? Would there be more fender clearance with the 16" combo?
I'm looking at an on-line tire size calculator and it seems to say that there's not much difference in tire height..??
It was a given in my mind that doing that swap would lower the bike in the back (which is my goal), until i started messing with the calculator and now I'm not sure/confused.
Appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

According to admittedly crude calculations, the 16" wheel/tire combo would be approximately 5/8" shorter. But the profile of the tires will make a difference as well. This calculation was made just using the hard numbers of the given tire/wheel combos and may not very accurate. The guys at Hogpro will be able to help.

The "65" aspect ratio of the 16" tire makes it sit just as tall as the "55" aspect of the 18".
I will get the 16" stock rim but instead of getting it with a stock tire (like i had planned all along), i will get a rim separate then install a 180/*60* (instead of *65*) which will let the back sit about 1" lower - that's good enough.
Thanks again.

Below is a link to a web page I've been using to figure out where I'm going tire size wise. I know there could be some variations with sizing but it seems like a good start and guide. Check it out and let me know what us think.
