Seems that no one knows the exact spacer size.. The ones I purchased off ebay do not center the tire. If anyone knows this information help a fellow brother out... Using harley wheel with scorcher tire.

Brian, this is custom work, so it is no surprise you can't find the precise info you want. You need to work that out for yourself and have some spacers made up to work for you and your bike. And yes I have done exactly that, although not on a Sporty.

I am also looking to do a 180 conversion. Just picked up a 17x4.5 Dyna wheel. All read on this forum is a scorcher 11 works but other 180 tires are a tad too wide. I just found a YouTube video that a scorcher 31 works if you reuse the oem sportster spacers instead of trying to recenter the wheel by the 3-4mm. Here is a YouTube video.

Just food for thought, I wonder if you could add a small sprocket spacer to give the belt a tad more room without affecting the belt operation.

I posted this info in another thread but thought it would be helpful here...

A 180/60-17 Pirelli Night Dragon mounted on a stock 4.5" rim measures approx. 169mm wide and is about 26.1" in outside diameter.
A 180/55-17 Scorcher 11 is posted to be 178mm wide.
A 180/60-17 Scorcher 31 is posted to be 180mm wide.

Got around to installing the Pirelli 180 on a 17"x4.5" Dyna Wheel on my 2010 sportster xl low.
Ended up getting spacers to try and center the tire and had to cut off the inner fender tabs to flip the bolts so nothing rubbed.

I noticed the wear on my rear tire is about 1” to the left. The tires were a little low on air so i pumped them up to spec. If that doesn’t even the wear out i will try and shim the wheel on the right side. The tire sits a little closer to the swingarm on that end.

I have just started my conversion. I’m using a Sportster Superlow 17x4.5” rear wheel and Pirelli Night Dragon 180/60/17 tyre.

I think using the Sportster wheel will mean I won’t have the spacer issues using a dyna wheel.

If you are using a sportster wheel, everything should line right up. The Dyna wheel is laced offset to the left. When installing on the sportster you need to flip the wheel so the offset flips to the right.

FYI to anyone reading this, after some critical thinking the tire wear on my new setup is fine.
What you see in the picture is just dust from the garage floor from scooting the bike around while it was on the jiffy stand.
