Default Considering 21" front wheel on Heritage but dealer said

I have a 06 Heritage Classic that I would like to add a 21" front wheel/tire combo but my local dealer said I would not like the ride or the way it handles? I ask him what he meant by it and he said the tire is a lot harder so giving a rougher ride yet everything I have read it seems little to no change for most folks that have done this change. Would anyone care to sound off on this subject. Thanks

A 21" will work with your stock fender, and we've sold that set up to a few customers and we haven't heard a negative feedback!

Check out our website www.wanaryd.com if you want to check out some rims and fitments.

I would tell you from personal experience on my scooter-2012 Deluxe that the 21" feels better than the stock 16". The mere fact that the tire is a larger diameter and a narrower contact width makes it so much more responsive when I am dodging pot holes! But yes compared to a stock rim and monster side wall tire the ride will be different---when u can't miss the pot holes!!!!! I live in a mountain state where we have winter 9 months out of the year and crap roads. I have roughly 3,000 miles on this 21" rim and wouldn't change a thing!!!!

Great looking bike. That 21" really sets it off.

You might try finding out what tires people are using on their 21's. A Harley Dunlop on the 21" on my 1200C rode horrible, really wiggled on road irregularities, but an Avon completely cured that. I know it's a lighter bike, but tires make a difference on the big twins, too. Any negative feedback you get is probably more about the tire than the wheel.

Avon and Metzeler tires is what we throw in 99% of our wheel packages, no negative review on either yet!

Avon is for the rider who cares for the looks and smoothest ride, the Metzeler is best for the rider who takes long road trips!!
