Default How to ID stock spoke wheels?

Hi all,

I have a pair of spoke wheels that I bought at a swap meet. I'd like to use them on my 03 Road King but the bearings are 3/4". I bought a set of the 1" bearings, but the outer diameter is definitely too large on the front wheel and looks a little too large for the rear wheel. The 3/4 bearings are the old grease packed ones, not the newer sealed bearings.

Is there any way to identify these wheels so I can get the right size bearings? They each have a "HD" cast into the hub, and there are a few other marks as well. I've attached pics below.

Anyone know if these marks can be decoded?

Thanks,
Nick

For your 2003 RK, I don't think you'll find any 1" ID x 1.781" OD bearings (i think that's the Outer Race O.D. of those 1999-earlier tapered roller bearings) plus other hurdles regarding rotors and pulley.

There are some sealed ball bearings out there to fit 3/4" ID x 1.781" OD, but that won't help you.

I think your best bet would be to get some later Touring wheels for an easy swap

Unfortunately your wire wheels are the older spec wheels, off an earlier model, which are not suitable for your bike, there are no bearings that will enable you to make them work.
